Folding Knife Deployment System. Molded black nylon housing with black finish stainless pocket clip. 3 1/8" high x 2 1/2" wide x 1 1/4" deep. Allows the operator to place a folding knife in a variety of carry positions ready to draw. The rotating sheath body allows the knife to be drawn, locked and ready to employ in less than one second with a single motion. A wedge system lets the user adjust the sheath's grip on the knife blade to achieve the optimum degree of security and ease of draw for the tactical situation. Expanding the flexible wedges on the sheath's dual wings lock into the folder's blade channel. The Merlin system is symmetrical, allowing left or right carry. Most important for tactical users, a special locator disk allows eight customizable carry angles, so that draws can result in any of the four basic tactical grips: conventional grip, reverse conventional, ice pick, or reverse ice pick grip. Fits knives with 2 1/2" to 5" blade, maximum blade thickness 0.25
